Ra 'Admirari Amun Ra' special and beloved pet of

  my dear friend Debbie Simms-Walker

My name is Jane Whiteley and along with my husband Malcolm we share our lives with an assortment of felines and canines. This site is dedicated to the Admirari cats.

I have always been animal mad and now have over 30 years experience in dog breeding, showing and training, I have bred two Champions and a Crufts Best Of Breed and Reserve Best Of Breed. My prefix/affix is registered with the and the

I am also a member of

We have always owned a cat alongside our dogs but I'd never thought about having a pedigree until introduced to the British Shorthair by Jan Bradley

who remains a very good friend and mentor to this day.

My first BSH came from Jan, a Lilac Self called Lavenda, I made her up to

not long after and became well and truly hooked on the 'Teddy Bear' cat.

Having always been interested in genetics cats opened up a whole new world for me with regard to colour. I am fascinated by colour genetics and now had the ability to dabble at will, it was like a dream come true for me, although of the utmost importance to maintain breed type, characteristics and temperament by and large I had much more freedom to experiment in the cat world than the dog one !

I tend to steer clear of the well known 'Blue' BSH as they are a little too ordinary (colour wise) for me but I will have the occasional litter to ensure breed type remains.

My passion is for the Bi's (Self Colour with White) and Tri's (Calico or Patched Cats) in both Dilute and Dominant but I also love the Cream, Chocolate and Lilac Self and have a real fondness for Tabbies.

In cats you're spoilt for choice !

Consequently if you are looking for one of the lesser known colours in the BSH make me your first port of call.

If I haven't got what you are looking for I may know a breeder who has, although I will only recommend one who I personally know rears their kittens as I do.

When I first started breeding BSHs I had several Varient (Longcoat ) kittens born to a particular queen and sired by my Lilac & White Bi Colour stud I knew enough about the Simple Recessive Gene to realise that both the Queen and Rhubarb must carry the Longcoat Gene and the kittens were always snapped up really quickly. In fact several times families bought them in preference to their Shorthair siblings. They simply were the prettiest of kittens, real Chocolate box.

This year I will be deliberatly breeding the as I have had so much interest in them and have been lucky enough to buy in two gorgeous girls and have also been 'donated' the most handsome Lilac & White (Van Pattern) male, 'Brad Kitt' (click on the photo of 'Brad Kitt' to see Varients page)

THEIR KITTENS SHOULD BE TRULY STUNNING !!
